The final concert of the 2nd International Mieczysław Karłowicz Composers' Competition
is organised by the ZAiKS Authors' Association and Szczecin Philharmonic in Szczecin. We decided to reopen our doors and the golden hall to contemporary composers from around the world. The final concert of the competition's first edition took place here on October 26, 2018. After the great success of that project and a warm welcome by our music lovers, we will be hosting the final of the next edition of this fantastic competition.
Please mind that in 2018 the jury had to evaluate as many as 176 works by artists from, among others, Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, Canada, South Korea, Macedonia, Germany, Poland, Sweden, USA, Great Britain and Italy. Unfortunately, only six of them were performed during the final concert. The Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra performed all premieres under the baton of Adam Sztaba and Patrycja Pieczara

Another novelty will be the introduction of the possibility to vote for a selected candidate. Apart from the main Jury award, the audience and the Orchestra awards will also be given.
