Moses is a singer and songwriter endowed with a highly phenomenal voice. Her talent has been appreciated by many essential names of American jazz and hip-hop, such as Karriem Riggins, Terence Blanchard (the author of music for many Spike Lee films) and Guru from the Gang Starr duo. The artist has also performed with many orchestras around the world, including in Bogota, Dresden and New Orleans. The singer is the star of the prestigious label Blue Note Records, next to such names as Norah Jones and Cassandra Wilson.




China Moses is said to have been doomed to success since she was a child. As the daughter of director Gilbert Moses and singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, she spent her childhood in an artistic environment and tried her hand at many areas of art. These valuable experiences, the artist's innate talent and hard work made China Moses one of the world's most critical soul-jazz vocalists.

World premiere

On the golden symphony hall stage, the artist will present her works in entirely new arrangements. It will be the world premiere of the material for which the conductor and arranger Troy Miller is responsible as far as the symphonic layer goes. Thanks to his talent, we will hear the jazz music of China Moses in a symphonic edition.




Troy Miller will not only create new arrangements for the concert in Szczecin. On September 25, during the event crowning the MUSIC.DESIGN.FORM Festival, he will personally stand at the podium with a baton in his hand to (not for the first time) lead the Szczecin symphony orchestra. Who knows, maybe as an outstanding multi-instrumentalist, he will surprise us once again and show us his musical skills?

Troy Miller returns to Szczecin

For many years, Troy Miller has been a professional musician, conductor, arranger and music producer. In his successful career, he collaborated with stars like Rebecca Ferguson, Laura Mvula, Amy Winehouse and most recently, Diana Ross. Multiple Grammy nominations and other prestigious awards (Mercury Prize, Novello Award) are examples of his outstanding achievements. The artist is also a respected composer and conductor. Such distinguished orchestras have performed his works as Philharmonia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, and BBC Concert Orchestra.
