ACCESSIBILITY DECLARATION

The Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website following the Act of April 4, 2019, on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This declaration regarding the website was prepared based on a self-assessment carried out by the public entity. The website is partially compliant with the Act of April 4, 2019, on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the discrepancies or exclusions listed below:
  • videos lack subtitles for persons with hearing impairment,
  • some images and graphics lack descriptions.

Standard keyboard shortcuts for browsing can be used on the website.
The website does not have mobile applications.

ARCHITECTURAL ACCESSIBILITY

The building of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, located at ul. Małopolska 48, 70-515 Szczecin, completed in 2014, follows the current technical conditions regarding accessibility for people with disabilities.

The entrance to the building from ul. Małopolska 48 is designed without horizontal and vertical architectural barriers from ground level.

On each floor of the underground parking, there are two parking spaces dedicated to people with disabilities. All four above-ground floors and two underground parking floors are accessible via elevators, and technical parameters ensure easy movement for wheelchair users and visually impaired people.

The main hall, cafe, cloakroom, and ticket counters located on the ground floor are accessible directly from one level without horizontal and vertical architectural barriers.

The Symphony and Chamber Halls are accessible to people with disabilities via elevators. Access to the rows of seats directly in front of the stage is barrier-free; these seats are dedicated to wheelchair users if necessary.

The art gallery located on the 4th floor is accessible via elevators.

There are toilets for people with disabilities on the ground and first floors.

ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The staff is trained in assisting persons with disabilities.

Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or any of their elements. Requests can also be made for information to be provided through alternative means, such as reading a digitally unavailable document or describing the content of a video without an audio description. The request should include the requester's details, specify the website or mobile application in question, and provide contact information. If the requester indicates a need for information through alternative means, they should also specify a convenient method for presenting this information. The public entity should fulfil the request promptly, no later than seven days from the date of the request. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public entity must inform the requester immediately about when the request will be fulfilled, with a deadline not exceeding two months from the date of the request. If digital accessibility cannot be provided, the public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing the information. If the public entity refuses to fulfil the request for digital accessibility or an alternative means of access to information, the requester may complain about the lack of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or website/mobile application element. After exhausting the above procedure, a request can also be made to the Polish Ombudsman: rpo.gov.pl.
